Dr. Terri Martin is a native of Charlotte. She is a Morehead Scholar, having graduated from UNC Chapel Hill, with a degree in Biology and, subsequently, the UNC School of Medicine with a degree in Medicine. She completed her General Surgery residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Dr. Martin joined Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois as a Trauma and General Surgeon immediately after completing her residency. After 10 years of practice in Illinois, she pursued and completed a Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center. She then worked for the Veterans Health Administration as a Staff Physician in General Surgery in Augusta, Georgia, and as a Site Director of Surgery in New York City. Dr. Martin returns to Charlotte to continue her career in General, Trauma, and Acute Care Surgery. In her spare time, she is an avid runner. She and her family are happy to be back in Charlotte, close to friends and family.
