Q: Why am I not receiving any emails regarding the NextGen Patient Portal?
A: Your email might consider the NextGen Patient Portal as spam. Check your spam folder and click ‘not spam’ to have emails from the Portal go directly to your inbox. To ensure you receive all emails, add nextmd.com to your contact list.
Q: How Do I enroll in the NextGen Patient Portal?
A: Surgical Specialists of Charlotte, P.A. will initiate the enrollment process at your visit. After obtaining information from you, such as your email address, you will be provided with an eight digit token number to access the Patient Portal. An email will be sent to you with a link to our Portal. Once you access the link, you will be prompted to enter your token number and your email address. You will begin the enrollment process by creating a password.
Q: What are some tips to ensure my password for the Patient Portal is secure?
A: Passwords should include numbers and special characters, and be between six and twenty characters. If you are given an option to save your password in your browser, do not do so. Make sure to logout after accessing the Patient Portal.
Q: What do I do if my account is locked?
A: If your account is locked because you entered an incorrect password after four attempts, your account will unlock after 20 minutes.
Q: How do I reset my password?
A: You can reset your password so long as you remember your user name and answers to the questions you set up upon enrollment. Other information that may be needed when resetting your password is your demographic information and your reset token and email address.
