Derek Best, FNP-C, assists our surgeons as part of our Trauma/Emergency General Surgery team. He has extensive experience as an acute hospitalist nurse practitioner (inpatient and outpatient), a neuro ICU nurse practitioner, and ICU nurse. Derek earned his Master of Science in Nursing with Honors at South University in Savannah, Georgia and has cared for patients in Charlotte hospitals since 2013.
