Dr. Bhasin came to Charlotte in 2005 after he completed his residency and fellowship at the University of South Carolina. His interest in the field of surgery began at a young age, following in the foot steps of his father.

During his surgical training at the University of South Carolina, Dr. Bhasin became interested in caring for critically ill surgical patients. He went on to pilot the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship introduced by the University of South Carolina in 2003, and was the first graduate of this program.

Dr. Bhasin is Board Certified in General Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Bhasin enjoys a diversity of clinical practice. His special interest in the critically ill surgical patient comes from a passion for all aspects of general surgery. He has benefited from multidisciplinary training and provides the full range of general surgical care, including treatment of which includes laparoscopic approaches where appropriate.

Dr. Bhasin also serves as a Trauma Surgeon for Presbyterian Hospital and operates in both the Presbyterian and CMC systems. He sees patients in the Huntersville area and welcomes all new patients from Charlotte, Lake Norman and the surrounding communities.

In his spare time, Dr. Bhasin enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, basketball and tennis.
